Hello, my name is Art Martinez. I have lived in Farmington since 1960. I enjoy all types of fishing and hunting. I have been fishing the San Juan river for over 20 years. I know the best fishing holes for catching large trout, and can select the proper fly for any season of the year. We use unique flies designed and tied by myself and the other guides. My hobbies include fishing, hunting, tying different flies, hiking, and photographing wildlife.
All of the guides at ARCOM Fishing and Hunting are licensed through the state. All are personal friends and are well qualified to guide. All have excellent knowledge of hunting skills and have hunted the units for many years. Many of the guides run cattle in the forest and know all the elk hiding spots.
We hunt both private and public land. An agreement with the state game and fish allows you as a hunter on private land to hunt on public land as well. Thus our hunting ground covers over 250,000 acres. Unit 2B is an area known for quality mule deer, with many bucks in the 30 inch class.
